'A Trio of Beach Huts'....

Our friend Wendy D'Souza Daniels is a local artist in Wanstead. She is very supportive of our craft workshops and demo days and is a regular attendee.

A few weeks ago she bought a set of Creative Expressions MDF 'By The Sea Beach Huts' from our craft shop which contains a trio of beach huts and look at the results below. We think they look Fab! Wendy is giving the end result as a gift to a friend who loves beach huts and we thought it would be nice to show them on the blog. The pictures below show the back and front.

'Card Making Craziness!!'...Look What We Made....

This month's craft workshop theme was 'Card Making Craziness'. We held the same workshop over two nights on Wednesday the 1st and Thursday the 2nd of June. We had a great turn out again this month and everybody said that they had a really wonderful time. Thank you to everybody that attended. 

The variations in everybody's cards looked fantastic and were going to be used for a mixture of occasions including Father's Day, an engagement and birthdays to name a few.

We used the new 'By The Sea' Clear Stamp Set from Creative Expressions to create a nautical themed card. The matching 'Lovely Garden' stamp and die set from Stampendous! was used to make the negative space themed card featuring the butterfly. The negative space background was coloured in using Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir Alcohol Ink markers and they were also used to colour in the boat on the nautical card. Also used on the night were a variety of WOW! embossing powders (they are fab!!).

'Nautical But Nice' Workshop...Look What We Made....

This month's craft workshop theme was 'Nautical But Nice' and it was very nautical. We held the same workshop over two nights on Wednesday and Thursday of last week. We had a huge turn out again this month which was great and everybody said that they had a really wonderful time. Thank you to everybody that attended, the variations in everybody's piece of work looked fantastic. 

We used the brand new Cosmic Shimmer Gilding Polishes (they are fab!), they are easy to use and blend together beautifully. We also used the By The Sea MDF Driftwood, MDF Accessory Pack (this contains the boats, fish, lighthouse etc.) and Clear Stamp Set all by Creative Expressions.

The crafty frame in the photograph above was the theme of our craft workshop that we held on Wednesday evening. We had a huge turn out on the night which we was great and everybody said that  they had a really wonderful evening. We used lots of PaperArtsy paints and dies from Wild Rose Studio, along with Phill Martin background papers.

Look What We Are Now Stocking....New Stamps from Honey Doo Crafts!

We are pleased to announce that we are now stocking a range of stamps from Honey Doo Crafts! Beautifully designed Clear Stamps we are so looking forward to working with them. 

They are ideal for lots of different craft projects. Look out for posts on the blog coming soon!

The stamps are available to buy in the shop from tomorrow.

First Craft Workshop of 2016.... Making Your Mark!

Our first workshop of the year was held at the shop on Wednesday the 27th of January. It was an evening workshop and everybody said they had a great time. It was an evening dedicated to making Crafty Bookmarks and the end results from everybody were beautiful as you can see in the picture above and those below. We wanted to say a big thank you to everybody that came on the night, we had a great time too.

So what products did we use? Well the rubber stamps were all from PaperArtsy designed by Jo Firth-Young and Lin Brown to name a few designers and also from Indigoblu. The backgrounds were created using Tim Holtz Distress Inks and the stamped images were coloured in using a combination of PaperArtsy paints and Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir Pens.

Look What's Back In Stock....

Exciting News! We have had two big boxes delivered to the shop this week containing lots of great new craft products and some that we were simply out of stock on in the shop.

So below are some of what is back in stock. Look out for new products that we will post over the next couple of weeks. If you are coming along to our 'I Love Craft' Free Craft Demo Day on Sunday February the 14th, you will have a sneak peek at them and also see them in action!

A set of two Spray Bottles, ideal to use for mixing paint with water and mica powders with water. Perfect to use on mixed media projects and to create different types of backgrounds.

Set of four Mist-Its, again ideal for mixing paint or mica powders with water. Mist-Its have a finer spray than Spray Bottles.

Magic Anit-Static Pad, this is a must have for heat embossing projects. 

Use to eliminate static that causes smudges and fingerprints on your work.

 

You simply wipe it across the surface with the anti-static bag before stamping and embossing.

And finally a round Blend-It Tool from Woodware. They also do packs of the Blending Tool Refills, which we think are fab to use with Tim Holtz Distress Inks.
